Ever have your tastes completely change? Something happened to me a few years ago. I began to develop a taste for spice. Like hot spice. I was in Arizona at a wings place and I don’t even know why, but the Mango Habanero sauce just sounded good. And it was. Even though it was so hot I could barely eat it, I loved it. This from a girl who has… Continue Reading
It’s From The Farm Friday again! My favorite from last week’s hop is one that reminded me of something I’ve wanted to do for some time – Obtain a big old stack of cloth napkins so I don’t have to buy paper napkins anymore. I planned on making them…and it hasn’t happened yet so maybe I’ll just have to do what she did. It’s right up my bargain-hunting alley!
Sometimes, I just want a light meal. While my hubby likes a meal at mealtime, I’m totally OK with something easy. And peasy. Like this Pea Salad… Did you catch that? Can I be excited? My Dark Chocolate Coconut Cake in a Mug recipe was included in the NEW Trim Healthy Mama Cookbook! You’ll find it on page 293. When you think diet, what comes to your mind? If I want cake, I can have it – generally… Continue Reading
Do you love jars? I do! When I saw this post (with a Vintage Style Mason Jars giveaway!) linked up to last week’s From The Farm blog hop I had to giggle a little. I mean, a lot of the people checking out this hop are homesteaders and gardeners. Of course we love jars! My husband says I have more jars than any one person should be allowed… Continue Reading
Do you ever feel overwhelmed? Stuck? Like you’re just spinning your wheels? I wish I could say I never do, but truth is that is a very common occurrence for me. There are just so many things I want to do but only so much time in a day/week/month/year. I get distracted easily. I’m a recovering perfectionist. And then there’s squirrels. And shiny things. Sigh.
Have you heard of fat bombs? I’ve wanted to make some for a while now, although I guess you could call Trim Healthy Mama Skinny Chocolate fat bombs. They are marvelously delicious! And if you’re not afraid of a li’l healthy fat, you’ll love them. Fat bombs are a great way to get that healthy coconut oil into your diet. (I can’t share the recipe for Skinny Chocolate here, but you… Continue Reading
