What is a WonderMix? The WonderMix is a deluxe kitchen tool brought to you by the makers of the amazing WonderMill. I got a chance to participate in the WonderMill Grain Mill Challenge a few years ago and it’s been one of my favorite kitchen tools! So when I got a chance to review the new WonderMix, I jumped on it. The WonderMix combines two of the most-used appliances in my… Continue Reading
Homeschooling Torah is celebrating their TWO year anniversary! We started using Homeschooling Torah two years ago, so it’s been exciting to watch this community grow. The Elliot’s are just wonderful, supportive people and I really appreciate all they do to make this curriculum amazing. The support from the HT community of members is terrific too. You feel like part of the family there. Not something you get with most curricula, right?
Think about it. A year from now, what will you wish you had started? What will you regret starting and not following through? A year sounds so long, especially when you have a huge task in front of you. And yet, it goes by in the blink of an eye. If you’re a mom, you definitely know what I’m talking about. August 18, 2014 was a huge turning point in… Continue Reading
**Updated Recipe! Use your THM Baking Blend! Or Make a Dozen in the Oven!** Biscuits. Oh how I love biscuits! Unfortunately, they don’t love me back. I’ve been eating gluten free for several years now and eventually you kind of get over wanting bread, for the most part. Every now and then you really crave it. The great thing about Trim Healthy Mama is that you can find tons of great… Continue Reading
Yesterday, I wrote about repurposing…or Making Do With What We Have. Ironically, that’s just what I had to do when making supper later. The result is this deliciously easy Spaghetti Soup! Wait…it’s hot and humid out (or so I hear), why on earth am I making soup? Well, because when I went to make spaghetti sauce, for some reason I grabbed the tomato juice from my pantry instead of… Continue Reading
We are oddballs. We purposely live on one income in a society that says you just can’t make it unless both parents work outside the home. It’s a choice we made for our family, because we felt it was best for this momma to be home with the kiddos. We do without a lot of things. Never necessities, and I’m so blessed that we lay down to sleep at night… Continue Reading
Recently, I received a copy of Teresa Tapp’s Fit and Fabulous in 15 Minutes to review here on the blog. Fit and Fabulous in 15 Minutes also came with a bonus DVD – The Secret to a Flat Stomach (without situps)! That is definitely one secret I’m glad to know! Even though I am not trying to achieve some kind of supermodel perfection, getting rid of this pudge in… Continue Reading
My daughter has not been feeling well for some time. We’ve taken her to the doctor, have had tests done, and according to them she is just fine. Try telling her that! She doesn’t feel fine at all. We’ve been (mostly) gluten free for a few years now. I’ve left it up to her (she’s 15) whether or not she cheats at all, like at the occasional family get-together… Continue Reading
I whipped up this super easy Caramel Apple Yogurt for a snack today. Ever since my recent trip to the Middle East, I’ve been struggling a bit to stay on plan. I chose not to stay on plan 100% on my trip, and that’s really been working against me. But, I may never get a chance to go back and I wanted to enjoy some Authentic Middle Eastern dishes. My… Continue Reading
Spending almost three weeks in the Holy Land will teach you things. Things about yourself. Things about others. Things about YHWH. Things about life. You’ll find yourself, later on, in situations where those lessons learned prove to be insightful. Take, for instance, The Church of the Holy Sepulchre. We visited there on our trip, and it was not one of my favorite places.
