I proved in my Salted Caramel Frappe post that you don’t have to give up your favorite frozen coffee drinks when you start THM.
You just need to know how to make them to fit the THM guidelines. And, I discovered, that basic recipe can be tweaked to suit whatever flavor you crave.
Craving something dark chocolate and raspberry-ish? I got you covered with this Dark Chocolate Raspberry Mocha Frappe, my friend. Read on… (more…)

Did you know that I am a trained Barista? Indeed I am.
It’s been years since I’ve worked at a certain famous coffee chain found in airports, supermarkets, and street corners across the globe, but I’m quite thankful for what I learned about coffee while I worked there. Like how much I love dark, roasty coffee. And those yummy, icy caramel frappes which go by a certain trademarked name that rhymes with “cappuccino”. (more…)
Have you ever had fresh coconut milk? It is truly divine!
And if you’re fortunate to live where they grow, you are probably nodding your head. The closest I’ve been to the tropics is…well, never actually. But I’ve had fresh coconut milk from the coconuts in the grocery store, and that beats canned by a mile. And to make this dreamy, Creamy Coconut, Lemon, and Turmeric Shake you want the decadent goodness that’s found inside a fresh coconut, even if that means picking coconuts from the local grocery store produce section. Do you remember those maple nut candies made by Brach’s years ago?

What does a serial blender killer do with a new blender?
She blends all the things! Because she must blend while the blending is good (and possible), not knowing when or if this new blender will fall victim to whatever it is she does to send her blenders to the grave. My Creamy Mint Matcha Shake was my first blender creation and today I’m introducing to you this Creamy Vanilla Chai Protein Shake. If you’ve got a few basic ingredients in your kitchen (plus a working blender, like this one if you’re super blessed!), you can make this too. If you’re a Trim Healthy Mama, you’ll be glad to know you can make it two ways – that satisfying S way or as a Fuel Pull. (more…)
I am a serial blender killer.
I don’t know what I do to kill them, but after a few months in my care, they tend to die. When I found an incredible deal on a blender that is rumored to be “just like a Vitamix” (but at a tiny fraction of the cost), I just had to bring it home with me. I told her not to listen to any rumors the other kitchen appliances may try to spread and promised to take good care of her. This morning, my new blendy friend rewarded me with this Creamy Mint Matcha Shake that’s a snap to make. (more…)
