Check them out and be sure to check out the other terrific blogs linked up this week. Be sure to link up your own relevant posts as well. Happy Friday and Shabbat Shalom 😉
It’s From The Farm Friday again! My favorite from last week’s hop is one that reminded me of something I’ve wanted to do for some time – Obtain a big old stack of cloth napkins so I don’t have to buy paper napkins anymore. I planned on making them…and it hasn’t happened yet so maybe I’ll just have to do what she did. It’s right up my bargain-hunting alley!
Do you love jars? I do! When I saw this post (with a Vintage Style Mason Jars giveaway!) linked up to last week’s From The Farm blog hop I had to giggle a little. I mean, a lot of the people checking out this hop are homesteaders and gardeners. Of course we love jars! My husband says I have more jars than any one person should be allowed… Continue Reading
Do you ever feel overwhelmed? Stuck? Like you’re just spinning your wheels? I wish I could say I never do, but truth is that is a very common occurrence for me. There are just so many things I want to do but only so much time in a day/week/month/year. I get distracted easily. I’m a recovering perfectionist. And then there’s squirrels. And shiny things. Sigh.

If you love garlic and want an easy way to peel it, then you need to check out my From The Farm Favorite this week! Since I want to make some fermented garlic soon, this will certainly come in handy. I’m pretty sure Mister will be more than happy to help me peel the garlic using this easy method.
DIY Cloth Plastic Wrap? You won’t believe how easy this is to make! Plastic. On one hand, oh so easy and convenient. On the other, leaching toxic chemicals into our lives. I try to limit our use of plastic as much as possible, but there are some plastic products that just seem irreplaceable. Like plastic wrap…that stuff is really handy, yet I feel guilty using it. But what non-plastic thing… Continue Reading
This time of year can be tough financially for our family, as my husband’s work is rather seasonal. I know I’m not alone, so I was thrilled to see this great list of money saving tips from Letters From Sunnybrook in last week’s From The Farm blog hop! I already do some of them, so it’s also great to see that some of my penny-pinching ways are worthy of making… Continue Reading
How to create a weekly meal plan is something that befuddles many of us. A weekly meal plan, however, is a great way to ensure that you stick to your budget and have healthy, nourishing food for yourself and your loved ones. Planning ahead can help reduce waste as well as impulsive eating out or snacking on foods that are less than healthy.
